Yesterday, I went shopping for bedroom furniture. I had in mind a maximum price and the general style and color of what I wanted. I went to over 12 different stores... and couldn't find a DAMN thing. Either the stuff was too light or ugly if it was the right price or I'd find something perfect for WAY too much money. Needless to say, I was disgusted by the time I got back home. So then... I started looking online. After going through another dozen or so sites, I checked out ebay.... W00t!

Here's what I am currently bidding on....

If my bid wins, then I will have a nice set for a LOT less money than I was seeing around. Wish me luck!

Last night, I slept in my new bedroom for the first time. I didn't want to wait for any furniture to show up so I moved my current bed in. It was lovely. I love my new bedroom. There's still a few things to do, but on the whole, its grand. :-)

Today, I'm going to move my tv and credenza into the bedroom from the living room. That's not a permanent feature, but I need to empty out the living room because I want to get started on that. I'm also going to move the sofas from the living room into my guest room and my office in there so I'll have emptied out the 3rd bedroom/office so I can work more on it as well. I'm really motivated now to work on my house and getting help/advise from a co-worker who's knowledgable in all of this has really been helpful.

I'm hoping my folks surprise me today and come by. I want to show off the bedroom and show them the furniture I'm bidding on.

I finally, finally finished the remodel of the my Master Bedroom. Pics of have been uploaded to my flickr page... Going to shop for a bed tomorrow at lunch and probably Friday. I'm taking a vacation day on Friday. Going to mow my yard in the morning, get lunch and a shower and the go find a bed. I'm pretty sure where I'll be getting it, but I might try out a few different places on Friday.

It has been a BUSY AS CRAP last few weeks. I have really gotten my ass in gear on the house. Today, I put down 1/4" round molding on the baseboards to finish the flooring up. AND... I cut a doorway between my 3rd bedroom/office which will soon be part of a larger dining room with doorways leading to the living room and den. Its looking great, if I say so myself! The sims have been going good and the NEW sim (shhhh!) is progressing. The NEW sim is actually going slower than I would like but that's okay. Once it starts up, I'll be busier than ever.

Work is slowing down, which is a blessing. I have GOT to start writing my logs for the sims at work to save on my free time after work. I think that will go a long way to solving my time restriction issues at home.

On a personal note... my ex-bf has broken up with his current bf. Don't know where that will lead... if it leads anywhere, but it might be interesting to find out....

Anyhoo... I'm about to get 'online' and finish up some logs...
